The Importance of Autism Therapy

[ad_1]

Autism treatment is to try to reduce the effects and symptoms of autism and related disorders, to try to improve day-to-day life of autism sufferers.

Most children show signs of autism in early infancy. The severity of symptoms varies, but all people with autism have some core characteristics of the area :. Social skills, language and behavior

social relations symptoms include: poor eye contact, resist cuddling and holding, and seems to play (in their own world). Language characteristics are: speech delays, repetitive use of language (echolalia), and do not understand the instructions one step. Behavior characteristics are: repetitive movements, moves constantly, and has special rituals to follow. That is why autism treatment is so important in the early birth.

There are two types of autism treatment, it’s educational and it’s medicine, along with support. They both work great when you start early in a child’s life.

Although psychological treatments can not cure disease directly, most experts believe that the overall effect is positive. Donation programs that are presented patients with autism at a young age often help them to better integrate into society, maintaining social ties, have jobs and generally work better. Some of the techniques used in psychological therapies, speech and language therapy, social skills development, applied behavior analysis (ABA) and occupational therapy.

Perhaps the most effective applied behavior analysis (ABA). Connecting work of Dr. Ivar Lovaas, ABA has had success helping teach autistic children social and behavioral skills, to the extent that some patients have even been given without autism disorder diagnosis after treatment. Of all the methods out there, ABA has been under more control than any other, and is the most recognized form of autism treatment. ABA consists mainly of three parts:

· It is applied method, which includes ideas to improve and support behavior that is socially significant

· It is a behavioral component, which is based on simple scientific understanding behavioral models

· Finally, the analysis component, which involves tracking progress and make changes with rewards and consequences.

For a large portion of children with autism, ABA can significantly improve their quality of life. It can help with the bigger problem areas, such as self-injurious behaviors, but also appears less significant issues like eyes (which actually affects social interaction child greatly). ABA works best in children who show severe symptoms, but it is usually a noticeable improvement in many cases.
